Telecommunications Liberalisation in the British Virgin Islands
The British Virgin Islands Government (BVIG) has decided that it wishes to introduce competition in telecommunications in the BVI as soon as possible. This will involve the ending of current telecommunications monopolies. New legislation has been passed to establish the new regulatory regime. This paper explains the objectives of these changes and sets out the BVIG’s plans for detailed implementation.
